What a good program does
A conference program is more than a schedule. It's the map attendees use to decide what to attend, who to meet, and when to eat. The best programs share four traits.
- Skimmable. One line per session; details on tap.
- Time-anchored. Every session has a start and end time.
- Track-aware. Parallel sessions are clearly labelled.
- Portable. Works on a phone at 8:59 AM in a bad venue Wi-Fi.

The three terms overlap. In academic and professional contexts, "program" is the broadest — it usually implies session abstracts, speaker bios, and tracks alongside times. "Agenda" and "schedule" tend to focus on the timeline. If in doubt, use whichever your community uses.
